The clinic lasts an hour and a half and will replace the karate kids intermediate advanced class this night.  It is important for students to know that it usually takes at least two clinics to certify out on level one short stick and at least two clinics for level two short stick, with the rare exception that a child/adult will certify out in one clinic.  Students need both level one and level two certifications in each weapon before they are eligible to test for their black belt.  A certificate will be issued for completion of each level of certification.  Upon level two certification, the student can order their short stick patch to put on their uniform, showing they have demonstrated the skills necessary for that weapon.  That is why we recommend starting clinics as soon as possible.
